Following Morocco’s announcement of the nationwide rollout of the HPV vaccine targeting 11-year-old female students in September 2022, this milestone was amplified via the different channels of the MENA Coalition for HPV Elimination.
– Ain Shams Obstetrics and Gynecology International Conference (ASOGIC)
The MENA coalition for HPV elimination mobilized its stakeholders and closely worked with the media to emphasize the significance of the HPV vaccine while covering the panel discussion on “HPV: To vaccinate or not to Vaccinate?” at the Ain Shams Obstetrics and Gynecology International Conference (ASOGIC) held in Cairo in October 2022.
– Launch of the WHO EMRO Cervical Cancer Elimination Strategy
The MENA coalition for HPV elimination amplified the launch of the WHO Regional Cervical Cancer Elimination Strategy while sharing it with more than 1,900 journalists leading to several articles being published in different media outlets.
– Sharjah Regional Cervical Cancer Forum
The MENA coalition for HPV elimination supported its member and partner, Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP) in facilitating the different Sharjah Cervical Cancer Forums including the last one held on 25 and 26 January 2023, under the theme “Turning Point on Cervical Cancer Elimination and HPV Vaccine: Signposts & Directions”.
