World Cancer Day

– Op-Ed

An active member of the MENA coalition for HPV elimination, Dr. Karim ElShamy, who is also the founder and executive director of the Egyptian Society for Promotion of Women’s Health, published an Op-Ed in Al-Ahram English, titled “On World Cancer Day: The road to eliminating cervical cancer in the MENA”. The piece advocated for the prioritization of cervical cancer prevention and highlighted the benefits and return on investment of cervical cancer elimination in the MENA region.

– Social Media Campaign

A social media toolkit was developed and promoted across the MENA Coalition for HPV Elimination listserv and social media channels. It included key messages, suggested posts, graphics, and hashtags as well as additional facts & references for further amplification.
